Steven specialises in devising fantastically imaginative and professional videos at surprisingly low cost. The key to success lies in the careful planning that goes into each production - from reconnoitering the location to deciding upon camera angles, storyboarding, scriptwriting and of course high quality camerawork and post production. All SRB's equipment is of industry standard, which includes a specialist video camera, heavy duty tripod with smooth pan/tilt head, gun and handheld microphones to a whopping 4 terrabytes of disk space on our purpose built Apple Mac Pro video edit suite, complete with 2 x 3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors and over 8GB of RAM.
Professional Video Production
But it is not just equipment that is important, particularly when it comes to covering weddings and other special events. Much of the skill lies with the person behind the camera. I insist on manually operating the video camera, adjusting the exposure and white balance to ensure the very best picture quality and to avoid graininess in low light conditions. There is nothing ad-hoc about my camerawork - shots are properly framed to ensure a varied and interesting film of both close-up, ensemble and candid shots.
Sound Recording
Sound levels, both at the event and any music or voiceover dubbed over afterwards, are checked so as to be without distortion. My equipment is from leading manufacturers such as Sony, Shure and Sennheiser.
Video Editing
Editing is not hastily undertaken - it is a painstaking process, with much attention to detail. Your finished video is then exported to DVD, packaged in a case with attractive sleeve and cover design. My editing facility includes software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Encore and also the 3D graphic capability of Photoshop CS4.
